people say learn from your mistake but i will say learn from other’s beacuse you do’t have enough time to make mistake and learn from it

many students just join class due to someone had said them to joined classes and so many others reasons without thinking about their field of interest . i have seen many friends who are studying engineering and are frustrated and regretting why they have joined engineering so before you start running like a sheep first think seriously about it is engineering really is your field of interest.

if you have gained sound knowledge of basic math,physics and chemistry form class 11 and 12 , you can easily crack IOE Entrance even without joining coaching classes.many students During time at coaching classes focuses on short-cut tricks to derive solutions as fast as possible but without having concept about the theory on which these formula are based on, you can’t apply them effectively.The instructors coined out the short-cut formulas for large array of problems and when you applied those formulas for specific problems,you get the answers in a flash,but these formulas are only for specific type of problems. you try to memorize those different seemingly random formulas without understanding them clearly And you will spend quite a bit of time doing it.

The questions in Physics will be quite difficult and to be able to crack them you need to understand the concepts clearly.I had a friend who is our batch topper and during he would easily fall inside top ten scorers the PEA’s early mock examinations and it was when the classes had just started. He ended up having 18th rank in IOE exam later.I would say studying in PEA hardly helped him it was because he had clearly grasped the concepts in his +2 and it was the foundation of this success.

On the other hand, Chemistry and English classes may be quite beneficial for you but not sufficient to crack IOE entrance .For taking good ranks in exam you have to study at least 8 hours a day with full planning if you are at startup stage .also many students do not take classes seriously and just join to join and enjoy with their friends ,if you have to become an engineer do’t do that for 3 months .I advise you to take those classes regularly
it was more about the environment in PEA which will help to create a mindset to study and also gave you ideas how to study..It instills in you that examination vibe that motivates you to study harder. You will certainly learn something in those 3 months and your odds of success will increase.
And you will not feel left out when all your friends all attending the classes.
The mock tests will definitely help you be familiar with the real IOE exam and also reveal your areas of weakness which you can work on.

My final advice is, especially in Physics, try to get your concepts clear rather memorizing short cut formulas And, practice numerical as much as you can to solidify your understanding.

Practice minimum 15 sets of questions daily
You will do good.
