- The actual requirement of concrete for the floor slab of a bldg may be 2% more than the theoretical quantities, as certain wastage occurs while placing ordue to in accuracies measured in the leveling of form work. This wastage in materials is generally expressed as a percentage of the materials calculated theoretically from the quantities of the work involved k/a “Standard Wastage“.
